After official trade show hours Sebastian Piatek and Pawel Oracz (Dance), Les Mills (Bodycombat), ZUMBA® as well as Christian Gasch and Virginia Winsemann (Body Art / Deep Work) will take participants to the next level in a demanding, high-powered programme comprising four 1-hour master classes. Work-outs start at 6.30 pm on the FIBO Group Fitness Stage. For each completed master class participants will receive one continuous education point.

FIBO CONGRESS: The knowledge boost for fitness pros

The high-calibre FIBO CONGRESS at Congress-Center Nord from 2 to 4 April marks the interface between theory and practice. Here fitness professionals will benefit from the over 35 years of expertise of the German University for Prevention & Health Management (DHfPG) and the BSA-Academy, which will jointly organise and hold the FIBO CONGRESS for the first time this year. The programme features more than 80 practice-driven lectures in total, from which trainers and instructors can gain valuable know-how for their daily routine. Talks will cover “High-Intensity Interval Training”, “Will and Will Power”, “Coaching Strategies Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle” or “Off and On-Season Nutrition in Bodybuilding and/or Power Sports”. The lectures are clearly broken down into sessions arranged in the seven themed worlds “Health (Fitness, Nutrition, Mental Health)”, “Management”  “Start-Up”, “Corporate Health Management” (BGM), “Sun, Beauty & Care” and “EMS Training” and “Physical Therapy”.

Future Forum with a Focus on Start-Ups for Trainers

On the FIBO Saturday, there is no avoiding the Future Forum in Hall 5.1 for young entrepreneurs. The special area will then be all about practice-driven lectures by renowned speakers addressing themes like start-ups, financing and operating clubs, while the DIFG panel discussion “Vision Fitness 2030 – the Expert Talk” at 2.00 pm will outline what the fitness business of the future should look like. Start-up talents who have already managed to break into the market will move centre stage in the Start-up Pitch by Innovation Booster at the Future Forum on Sunday; they will share what it takes to come up with a promising business idea. Alongside the agenda at the Future Forums, start-ups can find one-on-one consulting in the Newcomer Area and the Franchise Pavilion in Hall 5.1 on all four trade show days.

Body & Mind Area in Hall 8: Experience Yoga benefits

Yoga continues to boom – and not just as a (preventive) exercise to compensate for office stress. As a “sparring partner” for classic exercise, yoga improves performance and balance. When practised properly it compensates for muscular imbalances that can be caused by one-sided training. The inspirations offered by the Body & Mind Area in Hall 8 are similarly worthwhile. Here the latest yoga practices and concepts as well as effective meditation techniques can be discovered and tried out.

Three Days of Pure and Unadulterated ZUMBA®

This year will again see ZUMBA® offer intense coaching sessions for instructors coaching in its own Hall 3.2. On 3 April, a “ZUMBA® Basic Level 1 Instructor Training” will be offered with Betsy Dopico from Miami and Marta Formoso from Spain plus another special guest. On 5 April, the high-intensity training “Strong by ZUMBA®” will feature the top international presenters Michelle Lewin and Ai Lee Syarief. A special highlight is the ZUMBA® ZIN™ Academy on FIBO Saturday, 4 April. Members of the Zumba® Instructor Network (ZIN) can look forward to an inspiring keynote presentation, a Masterclass with the German ZES and ZJ Team, one “Hit the Streetz”, one “House Experience” and one “Sabor Cubano” session. Participation in the Academy is € 119 and includes a FIBO Weekend Pass. Furthermore, ZUMBA® will for the first time offer a 3-hour “STRONG® FREE” introduction for all FIBO visitors; this comprises an exciting STRONG Masterclass and a “taste” of “STRONG SYNC LAB Skills and Drills”. An excellent opportunity to find out more about STRONG and the benefits of working as a ZUMBA® Instructor.
